GIACOMO TRINGALI & LIRON KAHANA

Moved by the “value of subtraction”, we began our work. Our drive: to merge our diverse individualities. Our goal: to give form — through a gathering of bodies — to a singular whole; a space where expressivity could reach its most essential core, styles their most stripped-down nudity, and techniques be used with the least possible display or waste. Out of this emerged spaces with their own strength and identity, yet flexible, bending to other dynamics: the push and pull between bodies — mass and lightness.

The 'figures' are vital presences, stripped of naturalistic representation; matter becoming body through its very simplicity. The graphic elements act as primordial marks, traces of the will to be imprinted on fragile paper. Nothing lingers on decoration or effect; instead, a state — a condition of existence, forever balancing, moving along the path between the abyss and grace.
